Today Terrie and I went to the Butterfly Farm here in San Pedro, where they Raise "Blue Morpho" Butterflies It cost 15 usd. per person and took a half hour or so. The Girl that did the tour was also the owner and very knowledgeable. The Butterflies are a woodsy Brown Color when their wings are closed but when they fly or open their wings you see the beautiful iridescent Blue Color, The Farm is located on the main drag next door to the belize Yacht Club, South of Ramon's Resort. I would recommend walking across the street to the fruit stand and buying a papaya (this is what the butterflies eat) as a gift, this will cleanse your Karma and Make for Happy Butterflies! I hope you enjoy and have a Fabulous Day...B

First time I got to go on an international snorkel/dive trip was to Belize in 1981. I was fifteen and we drove down in a Datsun Pickup full of dive gear, and a portable compressor, back then it was hard to find a place to fill your scuba tanks, years later I decided it was time to take a break from my Job and see Belize through a greybeards eyes, to say that San Pedro Belize has changed is an understatement, they even have a hyperbaric Facility. I will post here about snorkeling, traveling, and stuff that happens along the way. Thank You for visiting! Burnie Archives
