Heraldo Monge doesn't own a car and he stops a lot as we walk to El Centro, stooping to pick up empty plastic bottles and random cigarette butts off the sidewalk and rain gutters, "because, when it rains, the nicotine is washed into the rivers streams and oceans and it can harm marine life. Saving whales is Heraldos main concern, I find myself catching his enthusiasm wondering if each plastic bottle he picks up may indeed be one that was destined to make its way to the ocean sixty miles distant, to become lodged in a whales stomach. When Heraldo is not giving talks at local schools, You may catch Heraldos Radio show, Por Una Costa Rica Mas Limpia Which means: For a Costa Rica More Clean, Here.

Article From Motherboard...
"For example, the FCC passed privacy rules in 2016 experts say would have given wireless consumers significantly more control over how their personal data is collected and sold. But big telecom lobbied Congress to kill those rules before they could even take effect in 2017." According to this article The population went from: "Less than 90,000 animals in 1975" and "It then fluctuated around that level, reaching a high of 306,220 in 2012 before declining below the carrying capacity in the years since as ocean conditions changed. "Marine conditions since 2012 have illustrated that. An unusual marine heat wave off the West Coast known as “the blob” combined with an El Niño climate pattern reduced pup production and survival, with thousands of malnourished pups stranding on Southern California beaches. NOAA Fisheries declared the elevated number of deaths an Unusual Mortality Event in 2013." "in 2013 and 2014 the population was down to 250,000 animals." I didn't see any data after 2014. This isn't my Photo. Couldn't find an owner. Shipping Team,

First time I got to go on an international snorkel/dive trip was to Belize in 1981. I was fifteen and we drove down in a Datsun Pickup full of dive gear, and a portable compressor, back then it was hard to find a place to fill your scuba tanks, years later I decided it was time to take a break from my Job and see Belize through a greybeards eyes, to say that San Pedro Belize has changed is an understatement, they even have a hyperbaric Facility. I will post here about snorkeling, traveling, and stuff that happens along the way. Thank You for visiting! Burnie Archives
