Do You like the way this website looks? 05/19/2011
So if you like the basic design of this website you would be amazed that it only took me (a relative computer novice) less than an hour to set it up!! I used Weebly Pro they supply you with web hosting as well as everything you need to start a blog/website/full on online business. The cost about 50 dollars per year and they will allow you 10 websites for that price. It is a screaming good deal. I am an affiliate because I like Weebly and I use Weebly for both my blogs and my online business http://www.truckerjugs.com check it out and see if its something you can use!! you can also set up a free website using weebly it just doesn't have a few of the really cool features that Weebly Pro does but what the heck its Free!! <script type="text/javascript" src="http://affiliate.weebly.com/scripts/banner.php?aid=4daccc11cddb8&bid=22140064"></script> Have a Great Day....Burnie Add Comment So I found an interesting article on Shark Defense that says that old rumor that your s'posed to try to whack a shark on its nose to dissuade it from attacking you is not true. Instead You are supposed to Gouge at its eyes because sharks noses according to this article are actually "quite sturdy" imagine that! I keep thinking about how our (not so) distant reletives the chimpanzees have on demand developed the amazing ability to throw their own excrement when under attack. Hmmm, I digress, Heres the link: http://www.essortment.com/survive-being-attacked-shark-30250.html Back Home in Washington State 03/22/2011
Im back hard at work hauling cars around the Pacific Northwest saving up some Dinero so I can take another Snorkel Vacation. If you are interested in trucking and fitness you can check out my website http://www.healthtrucker.com its more up to date with what Im currently involved with. At any rate I am definitely looking forward to being some place where the sun sparkles off of the Clear Water and they dont call your boss and report you for taking off your shirt in Public lol ..B I was bored so I started looking at possible shark defense weapons that may be of use while snorkeling. This was an interesting article in Popular Mechanics. http://www.popularmechanics.com/outdoors/survival/gear/survive-shark-attack-tech Thinking about Next Snorkel Vacation 02/20/2011
Ive been home for a little over a month now. Yesterday got to unload my truck in Bozeman Mt - 1 degree F thank goodness for my Carhart Jacket. I am often thinking where our next Vacation will be, tonight for some reason I was thinking of the Solomon Islands, I love San Pedro Belize and the Snorkeling is Fabulous! San Pedro Is very first world now days with lots of westerners moving there. Lately I sort of have been wanting to feel like Robinson Crusoe so I googled " Solomon Islands" not because it has anything to do with Robinson Crusoe but because I have heard so little about them, and I figured they might be the next best thing! I found this Article on best snorkeling Islands at "Islands.com" and it mentions a place in the Solomon Islands! Looks intriguing to say the least, and it has a few other Ideas for snorkel spots, some which I have already been to Like Big Island Hawaii. I will keep this on the Back burner for a while and see what cooks up! B http://www.islands.com/article/The-Best-Islands-for-Snorkeling San Pedro Butterfly Farm 01/11/2011
Today Terrie and I went to the Butterfly Farm here in San Pedro, where they Raise "Blue Morpho" Butterflies It cost 15 usd. per person and took a half hour or so. The Girl that did the tour was also the owner and very knowledgeable. The Butterflies are a woodsy Brown Color when their wings are closed but when they fly or open their wings you see the beautiful iridescent Blue Color, The Farm is located on the main drag next door to the belize Yacht Club, South of Ramon's Resort. I would recommend walking across the street to the fruit stand and buying a papaya (this is what the butterflies eat) as a gift, this will cleanse your Karma and Make for Happy Butterflies! I hope you enjoy and have a Fabulous Day...B Best Fishing Guide in San Pedro Belize 01/08/2011
Commentstacogirl (tacogirlbelize@gmail.com)Mon, 03 Jan 2011 08:34:11 Ally is great - never been fishing with him but he makes a good dirty banana. [Delete Comment] Good Gym in San Pedro BelizeI finally took the initiative and went and found a good Gym and Fitness Club that is only five minutes from where I am staying. San Pedro Fitness Club is a nice gym with a really excellent Pool (actually more like three pools that are interconnected, it also has some free weights and cardio equipment so you can get in a decent workout. They have two tennis courts though you will have to bring your own Racquets because they only have Junior size racquets, I used the Cardio Equipment Some of it the electronic controls werent working on one of the electric Bikes, but I still got a decent workout! also you can workout barefoot! after all the is Belize, the Pool is absolutely nice! with lots of places to lay out in the sun. and this only cost me 15 dollars belize for the day although I think I underpayed because I just read on the Brochure that the cost is 15 usd per day, which actually still would be a fair deal because of the convenience of having a good gym in San Pedro, where I Live, they also have weekly rates of 50 usd, or two weeks for 85 us, I think they are negotiable on price though I hope you wont negotiate them down too much because I really want this place to stay in business and running a gym anywhere especially with a nice Pool is expensive! they are open monday through friday 7 am to 8 pm and Saturday 7 to 5, Sunday the pool only (not the gym) is open, from 12 pm to 5 pm. DirectionsFrom the Water Taxi head south, if you are walking it should take about 30 to 45 minutes to get there, If you take a Taxi it should cost less than 10 bux belize, so head south on the main drag that fronts the Beach, to a corner where you will see the road kill bar and a large yellow building, turn right and head west you will pass a grocery store, called Publics, keep heading down this gravel road and you will run right into San Pedro Fitness Club. Im sorry I didnt post street names but most of the time you cant find any....Burnie |
